Visit to the museum of giants and streets of Puebla de Sanabria
The whole of the town constitutes an authentic fortified bastion through which countless battles have passed. Its border condition has made it a Villa that is currently declared a HISTORIC-ARTISTIC COMPLEX.
As soon as we cross the river and enter what today constitutes the Center of the population, we see a steep street, in the vicinity of which are the most austere facades.
The houses of this town still keep the memory of former moments of splendor. These constructions show a great ornamental wealth. The coats of arms appear on its facades, large profusely contoured modillions support the eaves and some of the most beautiful balconies in the Region. The corridors are wide and the galleries are almost always glazed. In addition, the ironwork works further embellish these already attractive constructions.
A good part of the Walls that protected all this HISTORICAL-ARTISTIC COMPLEX are still preserved from which unparalleled views of our Region are contemplated.
Honey Interpretation Center. ‘ A reference center in the world of beekeeping for the northwest of the peninsula.
The Honey Interpretation Center is located in Sagallos, in Manzanal de Arriba (Zamora), a place with a great and strategic beekeeping tradition, in the heart of the Sierra de la Culebra, surrounded by reservoirs and a few kilometers from the Lago de Sanabria.
The center offers guided tours (English, Portuguese and Spanish) through the honey museum and the wax press, as well as visits to live beehives and gastronomic workshops with honey as the protagonist. Medicinal plant workshops can also be held at this center, using the wax for its transformations into creams. For the little ones, the center organizes storytelling, crafts and beekeeping games for children.
